At Lockview Public School, we believe that parents/guardians are important and make a real difference to children's learning. When parents/guardians are involved, children do better and achieve more. School Council allows everyone involved in school life - parents/guardians, learners, teachers, school staff, and the wider community to work together to support the school. It also allows all parents to have a say in their children's education by affording the opportunity to express their views and ideas.
We are lucky to have an active school council, whose assistance and advice is very important. This group meets 4 times (minimum) throughout the school year and also has many sub-committees to help support our school.

Bingo Information
We are still needing volunteers for Bingo. There is a 30 minute virtual training https://www.charitablegaming.com/volunteer-training to be completed and after that you are ready to help out! We are there as a charitable presence in the building and our main function is to be friendly to the patrons, there is absolutely no selling/dealing with money, you don't have to call Bingo's back and occasionally you will wipe down a table. That's it and the school receives on average $330 for your 2 hours of volunteering. Once you have completed it you can send the confirmation email to lockviewadvisorycouncil@gmail.com and we will add you to our sign up genius service that allows you to choose the shift that will work best for you.
